The Angel and the Rat
Where, far removed in sunny solace, sat
The angel, waiting for her chance to strike,
Came from the land of fog, a dirty rat,
Her sole intention was this pest to spike;
Yet he with all elusive prowess stole
Away upon a river, burning bright,
That led him home down to a murky hole,
Resplendent in a parasite's delight.
The angel, sitting, watched this all transpire,
And took upon herself the rat to seek,
Through fog and river, murky hole and mire,
And on the day she found him, brown and meek,
No mortal man could see in him the lie
She sought to kill: now hear her wretched cry.
Perfection, perfection
Is just insurrection
Against a society's ways:
A one-road direction
To proper protection
From harm, death and evil's dark haze.
A woman's defection
From given perfection
Will be seen as this (nothing less):
Than her mind's perplexion
At blemished complexion
Or failure to wear size one dress.
But this misconception
Is stark interjection
To truth, beauty, and sense of style,
For in circumspection
Or probing cross-section
Her heart holds the friendliest smile.
So in true reflection,
Speak strong interjection
To man-made correction and view,
For sincere affection
And loving infection,
Your words need

Remember the Summer Days
What do you remember
As you lay there in the sun
The passion of the love we shared,
And all the things we'd done?
Do you recall the summer bliss
Of kisses by the sea
Of when our breath made us as one
As lovers ought to be?
The time itself is martyred
Here inside my mind,
And the fastest race I'd ever run
Has left me far behind.
So when you dream of beaches
Or sunny summer days,
Remember me, whose heart you won
Although we part our ways.
I was posed another question, this of a less probing and more hypothetical nature. It was asked me by one of my closest friends who happened to be an American. It did not occur to me to address the societal differences between us - which I did, but only in the back of my mind - that may have caused my response to differ from his, nor our drastically contrasting upbringings.
The question, as such, was this: "If you were to become wealthy by gaining immense profit - for example, if you were to become someone like J. K. Rowling - would you keep your money?"
I had to pause and think about this. It brought me back to the Film Dialogue song "Stay

I was asked today by one of my acquaintances this rather inappropriate, but interestingly probing question:
"Since you have had boyfriends, and are so accomplished in the realms of sexuality, tell me, the humble, virginal child how I could improve my lovemaking abilities."
My first reaction was one of utter horror. The look on her face perfectly reflected how she felt towards me; that I was a slut, unladylike, and definitely wicked. Her mocking tone reduced her question to the level of mockery, and though she supposed to demean herself in her description, she went far beyond bounds of social acceptance when she accused me of being thus "acc
I am very excited over the response I have been receiving over my brothers drawings and paintings. I want to thank everyone for the kind words and comments, for the honor of being a part of your favorites gallery and to those that have decided to keep a watchful eye on us. I am over whelmed with appreciation. CHEERS to you all!
